The Institutionalization-Localization Workshop with the Armed Forces of the Philippines was held on April 22-23, 2018 at the La Berza Hotel, Quezon City.
The workshop began with an overview of the project and project objectives, and the proposed 2018 work plan.
A workshop was then done to gather suggestions from the participants on how to institutionalize the Community-Based Dialogue (CBD) approach, both at the institutional (AFP) and community levels.
This is an activity under the “Community-based Dialogue Sessions on Human Rights Promotion and Protection” project, which is jointly implemented by the ALG, the Commission on Human Rights (CHR), the Armed Forces of the Philippines (through the AFP Human Rights Office), the Philippine National Police (through the PNP Directorate for Human Resources and Doctrine Development, and the Human Rights Affairs Office), and the Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates (PAHRA), with support from the Hanns Seidel Foundation of Germany.
