The JBC process has greatly improved in recent years, and commendable efforts are still being exerted to make it transparent. Interviews, for one, are now livestreamed so that the public can partake in the process. Questions from the public through social media are also accepted. Yet, despite these innovations, there is still much to be desired to improve the quality of the interview process.
This observation begs the questions: What is judicial philosophy? Do our Supreme Court Justices each follow a particular judicial philosophy? And would their judicial philosophies be a reliable indication as to how they would vote on a particular constitutional issue?
